About Community Arts Center of Freehold
Who We Are
The Community Arts Center of Freehold delivers performing and visual arts and arts education programs, including music, dance, theater, painting, sculpture, and STEAM. Our activities include community concerts by professional musicians, student performances, kids' arts camps, and seniors' arts nights.
Partners in our programs include Gramercy Brass Orchestra, Freehold Area Open Door, and the Reformed Church of Freehold.
We serve the Freehold, NJ area.

Concerts
Our community concerts bring professional musicians to perform masterworks, new compositions, world. premieres, standards, and crowd favorites. Many of our concerts are free and the ticketed events are low cost to make them accessible to the community.
Our Leadership
The Community Arts Center of Freehold is guided by our experienced team of educators and community leaders. Our family programs are led by enthusiastic experts who love to engage with families and deepen their connection to the arts.
Lee Ann Newland
Production Director
Lee Ann was the band director at Teaneck High School. She is on the faculty of Ridgewood Community School and Summer Music, Caldwell College, and is a co-music director of Gramercy Brass Band Camp. She holds a BM in French Horn performance from Manhattan School of Music and a Masters in Music from Rutgers. Lee Ann has performed in the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, and many notable Tri-State area chamber ensembles.
John Henry Lambert
Artistic Director
John is a trumpet performer, conductor and impresario. He founded Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York in 1982, where he serves as Director and Principal Trumpet. Mr. Lambert served as the Director of Bands and trumpet instructor for the United Nations International School in NYC. Over the past 30 years Mr. Lambert has developed Polishing the Brass - programs in Music Education of Gramercy Brass Orchestra.
Geralyn Drury
Outreach Advisor
Geralyn is the Executive Director of Freehold Area Open Door, a comprehensive multi-service agency dedicated to addressing food insecurity, housing challenges, and educational support with compassion and dignity. Freehold Area Open Door offers a client-choice food pantry, rental and utility assistance, after-school enrichment, college scholarships, and holiday food and gift distributions. Geralyn is dedicated to expanding access, dignity, and hope for our neighbors in need.
